Chile and Bolivia: The High Deserts of the Atacama and The Salar de Uyuni

There is something so magical about the rare and pure air of the world’s driest and highest desert plateaus. To those who are drawn to the austerity of the barren, moon-like vistas of the Atacama Desert and the Salar de Uyuni, this is the perfect touring adventure by four-wheeling. The desert light brings amazing colors at sunrise and we’ve made sure to add special highlights like Chile’s beautiful coast with a stop in the wine region, a star-viewing excursion for astronomy buffs in the Atacama (optional), a cooking class in the desert and an overnight stay in an incredible hotel made out of salt.

Just make sure you are ready and prepared for Bolivia’s basic but clean guest houses in the desert. They are what’s considered the “best available” in such a remote setting.

Notes: Minimum of 4 guests required for these tour packages. Dry season: May to November. Wet season: December to April.
