Bhutan Travel in the Fall
Touring Bhutan is perfect for those who want to understand the diversity of the nation! Where most people go halfway across the country only to Bumthang, you travel from Paro in the west, all the way across the country to Samdrup Jongkar in the east. You will have the opportunity to visit with families, stay in small hotels, stop at monasteries and holy sites and talk with monks, spend time in local hospitals, visit schools and libraries, explore markets, and meet with the artisans and local people. When touring Bhutan in the fall, you can also experience two different Tsechu festivals – one in Mongar and a second in neighboring Trashigang. The trip ends by crossing the border into India, and flying on to Delhi and home.

- Day 2
Visit Tiger’s Nest and Kyichu. Hot stone bath.
- Day 3
Drive Thimphu. Visit Memorial Chorten, Weekend Market, Textile Museum, paper factory and the Zilukha Nunnery.
- Day 4
Visit Chari Gompa, the village School for Arts and Crafts. Overnight Thimphu.
- Day 5
Drive to Punakha. Optional climb to Lungchuzeykha Temple for picnic. Evening visit to Chimi Lhakhang.
- Day 6
Walk to Khamsum-Yueling. Explore Punakha Dzong and area.
- Day 7
Drive Trongsa. Visit Museum and Dzong.
- Day 8
All drive to Bumthang Valley, overnight in Jakar.
- Day 9
Visit Jambay Lhakhang,Walk to Kurjey, and visitTamshing Langrub Chholing.

Visit Tang Valley.
- Day 11
Drive to Mongar, stopping to visit Ura Library, touring and walks.

Drive Khurbazam. Hike to Khoma for silk weavers. Return to Mongar

Enjoy Mongar Tsechu. Drive to Trashigang, possibly stopping at Gom Kora.

Enjoy the Trashigang Festival and visit town.

Drive to Samdrup Jongkar.
- Day 16
Early drive to Guwahati. Fly to Delhi. Upon arrival, connect with evening flight home.
