An Unusual Taste of China
China is a fascinatingly diverse country. This journey is an opportunity to experience the historical legacy of China’s great cities and towns and enjoy the rural areas with their cultural richness. Beginning in Beijing with the Forbidden City and Great Wall, you travel northeast to Xian, famous for its terra cotta soldiers and Tang Dynasty relics. Leaving Xian, you head to Yichang for a five-night boat trip on the Yangzi on the beautiful Yangzi Explorer owned by Sanctuary Ananda, before flying to Guiyang and visiting the Miao and Dong people of the area. Your journey ends in Shanghai, perhaps the most cosmopolitan of China’s cities.

Return to Beijing. Visit Gymnastic school and 798. Fly to Xian.
- Day 5
Visit Terracotta Soldiers. Tour city. Evening Tang Dynasty Show.
- Day 6
Fly to Wuhan. Visit Hubei Provincial Museum. Bullet train to Yichang and board ship for Yangzi Cruise.
- Day 7
Xiling Gorges and Three Gorges Dam Project.
- Day 8
Shennon Stream, Wu and Qutang Gorge.
- Day 9
Fuling.
- Day 10
Arrive Chongqing. Flying Tiger Museum, Chongqing Zoo and pandas. Ancient Chongqing area.

Fly Chongqing to Guiyang. Visit Qingyang Ancient Town.

Drive Kaili. Kaili Minority Museum.

Matang Gejia Miao Village, Shiquiao traditional paper-making village, Qingman Miao Village.
