Just recently the border crossing from Thailand to Myanmar at Mae Sot has opened for tourism, allowing travelers to begin their trip in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, visit the cities of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai and then travel north, crossing into Myanmar at Mae Sot. The entry point opens up easy access to parts of the Tenasserim Coast, the fascinating area around Mawlamyaing and the magical Golden Rock in Kyaikthiyo. You end your two-country journey in Myanmar’s former capital, Yangon. During this tour of Thailand and Myanmar, you will experience the best of what both countries have to offer.

Arrive Bangkok. Transfer to the hotel.
- Day 2
Bangkok Touring – Palace, Klong tour to Klong Bang Luang with puppet show. Night tour by Tuk Tuk.
- Day 3
Drive Ayutthaya. Visit ruins, Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace, Muslim Quarter, boat trip around island.
- Day 4
Drive Sukhothai via Uthai Thani and Pitsanuloke.
- Day 5
Continue Exploring Sukhothai.
- Day 6
Continue to Mae Sot and Tak.
- Day 7
Mae Sot to Mawlamyaing through the Dawna Mountains and via Kawkareik (7 hours).
- Day 8
Mawlamyaing touring to Shampoo Island and Mudon.
- Day 9
Excursion to Setse Beach and Thanbuzayat.
- Day 10
Boat ride to Hpa An via Kawnat-Kado village. Visit caves in Hpa An. Sunset at Kyauk Ka Latt Pagoda.
- Day 11
Continue Visiting Hpa An and Kayin Villages.
- Day 12
Drive Kyaikthiyo via a Mon Village.
- Day 13
Drive to Yangon, stopping at Bago. Spirit of Myanmar lighting candles at Shwedagon.
- Day 14
Yangon touring: Train ride. Hledon Market and train back. Visit Sule and walking tour of colonial buildings. Meditation Center, Scotts Market, Men: Head to Barber shop, Women: Head to Dress Design shop.
- Day 15
Meet the Locals: Ma Cho Lei Aung, Saya U Sai Aung Win, U Bo Took, and Ko Zaw Zaw. Farewell dinner at Le Planteur
- Day 16
Depart Yangon for home.
